Katiouchka

Katiouchka: a wool embroidery inspired by Slavic design, for a light and practical tote bag! And a very pretty project for discovering or revisiting Romanian stitch, Fée Pirouette style. A simple stitch that covers large areas quickly, an interesting alternative to long-and-short stitch.

Tote bag version 1: original chevron fabric (images 1-4),

Tote bag version 2: houndstooth flannel (images 5-6).

The kit contains:

• the fabrics for the outside of the bag + lining,
• the fabric for the embroidery,
• the butter muslin, Vlieseline, Jeffytex, pompom trim and needles,
• the embroidery wools, fine and medium,
• the instructions and diagrams.

Embroidery size 20 x 18 cm, tote bag 35 x 35 cm, gusset about 8.5 cm.
